Other Ways to Give

There are many ways to give the gift of support for families after a workplace tragedy.

Some gifts magnify in reach and positive impact for years to come.

Workplace giving

Many employers have a workplace giving program to encourage and support their staff’s charitable efforts by making their donation reach even further. Ask your employer if they will match your donation to Threads of Life through their workplace giving program, and you can double the reach and effect of your donation!

United Way contributions

Did you know that you can direct your United Way contribution to any registered Canadian charity, including Threads of Life? To direct all, or a portion, of your United Way contribution to Threads of Life, be sure to reference us by our legal name – Association for Workplace  Tragedy Family Support – and provide our CRA Registered Charity # 87524 8908 RR0001.

In memoriam and funeral donations

Donations made in memoriam are a deeply meaningful way to honour a life. Funeral donations may be made in memory of a life ended too soon by a workplace tragedy, or to honour one who cared deeply about preventing workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths. Gifts made in memoriam go on to help hurting families, and are a tribute to the memory of your irreplaceable person.

Funeral homes may request in memoriam donation cards from our office by phone or email.

Legacy gifts

Gifts made in wills reflect what is most important to us – and where we most want to leave a lasting impact.

Providing support for families after a workplace fatality, life-altering injury, or occupational disease is a need that continues to grow – as does the need for your support. If you would like more information, or would like to discuss your potential gift, please call us at 1-888-567-9490.
