A gift in your will

Leave a legacy of caring.

Whether you’re personally affected by workplace tragedy or you’re passionate about health and safety, the work of Threads of Life is close to your heart. You can continue to support families affected by work-related fatalities, life-altering injuries and occupational disease, by dedicating a donation in your will.

Leaving a gift to Threads of Life in your will is not difficult to set up, and it can make a huge difference in the future, by supporting families and helping to eliminate tragedies. Some people worry that they can’t support both their loved ones and their favourite cause with their will. The truth is, just a small percentage of your estate left to Threads of Life can have a big impact, while still leaving the majority for your loved ones. Choosing to support Threads of Life this way can also reduce and, in some cases, even eliminate the taxes to be paid.

Your lawyer will be able to assist you in incorporating a legacy gift to Threads of Life into your will. You may consider leaving a share of your assets (a “residual gift”) or a specific sum of money (a “specific gift”), within your will. Please do ensure you reference us by our legal name – Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support – and provide our CRA charitable registration number 87524 8908 RR0001.

If you have questions about what type of gift will work best for you, please contact us. We will be happy to work with you and your family to help you meet your goals. Please contact Lorna Catrambone at 1-888-567-9490 or [email protected].

If you have already chosen to include Threads of Life in your will, please let us know. We would love the opportunity to thank you personally.
