If your family has suffered a life-altering illness or is living with the outcome of an occupational injury, we would like to hear from you.

One of the most effective ways to educate the public about the importance of safety, promote greater accountability for workplace health and safety and debunk the perception that injuries are “just the cost of doing business” is through personal testimony. The popular Speakers Bureau has consistently been given accolades from businesses, teachers, and conference organizers.

If you are ready and willing to talk about these issues with the public, we invite you to join Threads of Life and participate in our Speakers Bureau. We offer:

  • flexible time commitments (you choose when and where you are willing to speak)
  • one or more presentations in a geographic area close to you
  • public venues could include high schools, companies, conferences, and meetings
  • travel expenses will be covered
  • presentation materials will be provided
  • public speaking training offered if required

If you are interested in sharing your story as a presenter, please call Threads of Life at
1-888-567-9490 or email speakersbureau@threadsoflife.ca.

“I spoke of the importance of being a Threads of Life volunteer and the need to make the workplace a safer place for all workers. I talked about the Family Forum and the impact it has on families who are battling their way through the trauma of a serious workplace accident, occupational illness or death. I laid the wreath on behalf of Threads of Life. I closed with a few words about Sunday’s Steps for Life walk and invited all to attend”.
