United Way Contributions

This post is also available in: French

Each fall, thousands of workplaces across the country launch a charitable campaign to raise funds for their local United Way. Through the appeal, employees are encouraged to consider donating a small portion of their paycheck.

How can I direct my contribution to Threads of Life?

Setting up a payroll deduction to make a charitable contribution through the United Way can be a simple and effective way to support Threads of Life. Even a small contribution from each paycheque adds up! Payroll deductions are simple and convenient and can really make a difference. A deduction of $12 from each bi-weekly paycheque adds up to more than $300 over the year – which is the approximate cost of providing a member with a trained Volunteer Family Guide for one year.

If you would like to direct your United Way contribution to Threads of Life, be sure to indicate us by our legal name, Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, under ‘other’ charities on the enrolment form.

Donor forms do vary slightly between the more than 100 United Way Centraide offices across the country, but they all provide the option to direct your donation to a specific charity.

To direct your United Way donation to Threads of Life, simply fill in your United Way donor form and indicate us by our legal name, Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, and our Canada Revenue Agency Charitable Business Registration number, #87524 8908 RR0001.
